That’s right. December has arrived.
To those of you that made your targets this year – congratulations.
To those of you that fell short of your targets – congratulations.
Why do I say that?
Well, to be honest. We will all have a combination of good years and bad ones in our business lives. Just like in our personal ones.
I hope most of you have learned not to have your self-esteem attached to your business balance sheets – because that is the kind of stuff that can kill.
I’m fortunate enough to work with clients from a variety of cultures. One thing I see across the board is those that prioritize their personal lives over their business ones thrive.
The worst type of year is when we have a down personal and business year. Those can sting. If you’re going through that I feel you. We all get them. The only thing we can do is to simply take a look at what is within our control. Those are the things we can and should change in a proactive fashion.
Don’t fall into the trap of being a victim of circumstances.
Be kind to yourselves over the next few weeks.
2019 is almost here.
